[Live Viewing] NANA MIZUKI LIVE CIRCUS 2013+, 2nd Night at 台湾

Live Viewing hajimarimasu~~!
Okay, I don't know what has happened to me....I am writing this already the day after it happened! Such a miracle! Maybe I am too scared that school will kill me sometime soon, and thus I should get this out of the way asap.. xD Anyways, before I begin my report of the live viewing I'll take a moment to mention a couple of happy news. Recently, my blog passed 50,000 views! So thank you to all of you who have been following my blog and taken the time to read my entries! I wouldn't have the motivation to write about all these things if it wasn't for you... perhaps lol. The other happy news is that.... Nana got invited to [Kouhaku Uta Gassen] again this year! Really happy for you Nana! You belong there every year! I will be sure to vote for your team again this year! ... Here's to hoping my sister won't mind spending New Year's Eve watching it, since she is visiting then. xD Anyways, onwards to the live viewing report!

METRO BAROQUE

Yes! Finally got to hear METRO BAROQUE last night after I came home - definitely a great way to end a really good day. ^^

Man this song is really, classy. I have to say I am really in love with the piano in this song.  I think it was a really brilliant move to have piano be dominant and the violin in a lesser role in METRO BAROQUE, and having it the other way in Junketsu Paradox. It really makes all the difference in the atmosphere. Where the violin made Junketsu Paradox sound more traditional, the piano in METRO BAROQUE gives it a modern contemporary twist. It actually does make it feel very metropolitan and makes me think of the lights of the city, dark alleyways with strangers smoking on the street - which is very fitting considering how Blood-C The Last Dark is taking place in the city. Just like Junketsu Paradox fit the series with its more traditional feel.

My Dad and Nana

I had a pretty interesting conversation with my dad a few days ago about what makes Nana so awesome. It was quite funny because it was him who started it, not me. I was visiting him in Germany, since he has to stay there for now due to his work and in the evening he put on Radio Rock. Eventually this song came up that was the sort of heavy metal he did not like and he exclaimed that "I don't like this", turned Radio Rock off and put Nana on instead.

Nana's 25th Single Junketsu Paradox!

Well this entry is a bit overdue, my apologies - I disappeared to Germany for a while. I was quite anxious about whether or not I would hold my copy of Junketsu Paradox in my hands before I was leaving to Germany on the 4th as the FedEx delivery estimate was for that day, but this time CDJapan and FedEx had a pleasant surprise for me - I got a call from FedEx on the 3rd (which was even the actual release date!) asking if they could come drop off my package within the next 20 minutes to which I nearly screamed a lustful " HELL YES", but managed to contain myself and reply appropriately. Fievel rewarded the hardworking young FedEx delivery man by screaming his lungs out. Dear delivery man, if you ever happen to read this - I am very sorry for my dog's misbehavior. NOW, BEHOLD MY BELOVED COPY OF JUNKETSU PARADOX!

「純潔パラドックス」 PV

I was threatening in my previous entry that I'd write about this next, so here it is!

So yesterday morning I managed to find the PV for Junketsu Paradox to my great delight. I had no idea it had actually come out already, so it was a really nice surprise to start my day with. (^-^) Later on I even stumbled upon the second song of the upcoming single, 7COLORS - how lucky is that?! If you want to give it a listen you can do so [from here]. I probably won't write about it before the single actually comes out, not long till that now anyway!

Top 10 Mizuki Nana Songs I Want to Learn on the Violin *Updated 2012/02/28*

So since my Arfu loves it when I stall the revealing of my Top 20 Nana song list, I shall stall yet again. (^o^)/

I went to buy myself an electronic violin today and I was really surprised at how much they sounded like a normal violin. I was expecting something... else. Obviously. xD I found a really lovely one that I bought. It looks so cool and it's red. (^-^) So now I am really stoked about finally having a good quality violin again and I am actually very excited to start relearning to play. So considering how that was the highlight of my day, I felt making a top 10 list of the Nana songs I eventually want to learn how to play was a very appropriate thing to do.

So enjoy~!

Thoughts on 「純潔パラドックス」

ZOMG I LIED AGAIN. No Gotou Yuuko this time either (Forgive me Gotou-san, I will honor you soon! (;_・)), since I heard Junketsu Paradox thanks to it being aired on smile-gang and I just cannot resist writing about a new Nana song.

So yes, Nana's new song which is used as the ED of Blood-C, Junketsu Paradox, was heard in full on smile-gang last night. The name, like she's been explaining in LIVE JOURNEY MCs, means pure-hearted paradox. Sadly I cannot make much out of the lyrics at the moment with them not available anywhere yet (ごめんなさい、I need to better my Japanese (;_・)), but judging by the atmosphere the song creates it revolves around urgency and desperation - well, a paradox obviously. xD
