METRO BAROQUE

Yes! Finally got to hear METRO BAROQUE last night after I came home - definitely a great way to end a really good day. ^^

Man this song is really, classy. I have to say I am really in love with the piano in this song.  I think it was a really brilliant move to have piano be dominant and the violin in a lesser role in METRO BAROQUE, and having it the other way in Junketsu Paradox. It really makes all the difference in the atmosphere. Where the violin made Junketsu Paradox sound more traditional, the piano in METRO BAROQUE gives it a modern contemporary twist. It actually does make it feel very metropolitan and makes me think of the lights of the city, dark alleyways with strangers smoking on the street - which is very fitting considering how Blood-C The Last Dark is taking place in the city. Just like Junketsu Paradox fit the series with its more traditional feel.

Well without further ado, here is the song itself! Enjoy~! \o/

Also, here is the cover picture of TIME SPACE EP too. I had a lot of fun analyzing and guessing what everything in it was with my friend when only the small picture on Nana's website was available. Have to say we did a really good job. Really love the dinosaur outside the window. xD

Ahh, legs. <3

And last but not least, I must say that I am really looking forward to the songs for Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha: 2nd A's The Movie and Dog Days'. Considering how well Junketsu Paradox and METRO BAROQUE depict the series and the movie, I am sure we'll have something amazing in store as the sequel for ETERNAL BLAZE / PHANTOM MINDS and SCARLET KNIGHT. ^^

  1. I didnt really pay attention to the lyrics. But now I think I should.

I can imagine the song do fit into the mood of the movie as a soundtrack. But the song itself wasn't that intriguing to me after the first hearing. Perhaps I was expecting too much. Because the last singles POPMASTER/SCARLET KNIGHT and Junketsu Paradox were golden brilliances.

Not saying it is not good, I should listen more then once to it.

    1. Always should pay attention to Nana lyrics! They are amazing! \o/

Yeah, METRO BAROQUE isn't as powerful and full of impact like the singles before it. I think it's one of those songs that grow on you the more you listen to it. ^^ I think my favorite song from TIME SPACE EP is 時空サファイア (the Meiji tweet mystery song), it's so catchy. xD

    2. I do agree with you. I only paid attention to songs I really like POP MASTER, Cystral Letter, undercover. Since Nana has began writing more songs, the lyrics became really interesting to read. Those have powerful meaning. I would likely to do same for the upcoming singles.

Still thanks for the new perspective :D
