A bit of a random post... but somehow I felt like translating this Finnish song by Jenni Vartiainen today after hearing her new song. :3 I am not a big fan of Finnish music (apart from Poets of the Fall or Tiktak or something like that), but I like some of Jenni Vartiainen's songs since they tackle an interesting and in a way important "controversial" topic, like this one and [Ihmisten Edessä]. I will get a move on with my Seibu Dome LIVE CIRCUS entries soon, bear with me!

When we met it was nice Riddles on our faces and when we moved into the two room apartment on Annankatu We did things as a couple Even so, later it kinda bums me out Why did I have to promise, that it was okay to snap pics |
Sillä kun me erottiin Sä laitoit minut nettiin Niin kuin luonto minut tarkoitti Tätäkö se tarkoitti? Kun me erottiin sä laitoit minut nettiin Koko maailma mua katselee Kuvaruudun valoista, yksinäisten taloista | For when we broke up You put me on the net The way nature intended me Is this what it meant? When we broke up you put me on the net The whole world is watching me In the screen light, in the houses of the lonely |
Sinä munapää et voi ymmärtää Ihmiset hauraita, vaikka haureita Tietyt asiat on hyvä pitää itsellään... Pienessä piirissä ei jutut leviä Kaupan kassalla myyjä tuijottaa Onko nähnyt hän jo jotain enemmän? | You dickhead cannot understand Humans are fragile, even if adulterous Certain things are best kept to yourself... In a small circle word doesn't spread At the cashier in the shop the clerk stares Have they already seen something more? |
Sillä kun me erottiin Sä laitoit minut nettiin Niin kuin luonto minut tarkoitti Tätäkö se tarkoitti? Kun me erottiin sä laitoit minut nettiin Joku Ilpo mua katselee ja itseään koskettelee | For when we broke up You put me on the net The way nature intended me Is this what it meant? When we broke up you put me on the net Some Chuck is watching me and touching himself |
Eikö mikään ole enää omaa? | Is nothing your own anymore? |
Sillä kun me erottiin Sä laitoit minut nettiin Niin kuin luonto minut tarkoitti Tätäkö se tarkoitti? Kun me erottiin sä laitoit minut nettiin Koko maailma mua katselee Kuvaruudun valoista, yksinäisten taloista | For when we broke up You put me on the net The way nature intended me Is this what it meant? When we broke up you put me on the net The whole world is watching me In the screen light, in the houses of the lonely |
Note: Ilpo is a random Finnish guy's name so for lack of coming up with anything better, I put Chuck in the English translation as the random name. :3
First things first.. otsukare~ thanks for the hard.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to see something different on a blog.
At first time listener to Finnish music I didnt know what to expect. Because I never heard proper Finnish, the language itself. Let alone a song of it. It sounds very English to me. Not that I could understand a word with pop music nowadays. This song did fancy me. I would like to hear some more of your favourites, kultani~
Keep up the good work. Banzai~

Sankyuu, glad you approve of my random entry~ :)
DeleteOoh that's interesting, you think it sounds like English? First time I hear that w thought somehow people have mistaken it for Spanish before which is a bit weird. I will gladly share some of my favourites with you my lieverd, if you want to hear <3 The other song from Jenni Vartiainen I mentioned at the start of this entry actually is one of my top favourites. This one (the video has some spoilers from Canaan though, gomen orz):

Haiiii~
Glad you liked this one <3
yes I like variety in blog entries w. Especially when you write it so enthusiastic. <3~
DeleteYeah I didn't expect to like it even it isn't language I know or used to listen. Well perhaps English was a bit far fetched, more of those regional English dialect ww. I like the second song you sent me the link. Can I say it's more relaxing? ww Or did I misjudge it? Anyhow I like Finnish more Korean which I dont really like to be honest. The k-pop is catchy and funky. But it got repetitive for me. The language sounds more like a mix of Chinese and Japanese.
Just my two cents ww
rabuu you <3
Tehehee~ v(*'-^*)ゞ
DeleteMaybe love is blinding you to like them~ hehe j/k. The second song from Jenni Vartiainen is depicting the love between two women as a beautiful thing, so yeah you could say it's more relaxing. :3 Also, I share your opinion on k-pop ww I have never been able to get into it. Actually, I have never heard anything that would even want me to try to get into it. I put a lot of emphasis on lyrics, I like them to be meaningful and use clever expressions and beautiful words ww which is one of the reasons why I love Nana. And it is also why Poets of the Fall is my most favorite band in the world. They are Finnish but their songs are in English and their lyrics are always very beautiful. I'll link you one of their songs too, since you are the heart of my temple of thought~
