NANA MIZUKI LIVE HOME 2022 Road 04 at Ibaraki

Congrats on conquering all 47 prefectures Nana!!

As I mentioned in my previous report, I didn't actually have plans to attend an Ibaraki live.... but here we are! I had to correct my oversight when I realized Ibaraki would mark the end of Nana's goal to have a live in all of Japan's 47 prefectures. Also fittingly for the LIVE HOME theme, we made a road trip out of it and it ended up actually being the first time we drove in Japan so far! It was a lot of fun! Again, since no live pics are available yet, I'll be seasoning the post with some random road trip pics for you to enjoy.

Also as part of my updated report style, I'm going to start color coding the songs that appeared for the first time in the rotation for each concert I attend this tour, so you'll know with a glance which parts of the report might be the most different from previous one I already wrote.

Goods
This time we ended up actually popping over to the goods stall, since we always grab a pin for the venues that we attend and we didn't have the Ibaraki one yet! But now... we do! xD We also grabbed the Ibaraki shirts for good measure, since it was quite the special occasion after all.

Before the concert
Oh! This time there actually was a bag check! Just when I was bummed out at Hyogo. :3 Aaaaand, considering I bought these tickets on a whim from general sale only a couple of weeks prior, I was expecting kind of meh seats, but these were like.... god tier?! Like whaaaat? We were on the stand right by the stage, so honestly like within 30 meters or less from Nana the whole time. I made a rough doodle:

01. New Sensation / 02. POWER GATE / 03. Go Live!
Same set here as for the first night in Hyogo, but man, seeing it unfold from so close by was something else. Sometimes even when you are at the concert, it's kinda hard to comprehend that you actually are in the same space as the artist since you'll be so far away and you can't really make them out too well... but not so tonight. Nana was right there. Just another human being like the rest of us. It was honestly just so refreshing to get to focus on her like this tonight. I was honestly glad that I didn't currently have blazing red hair since I felt pretty embarrassed with my gaijin face when she came to sing at our end of the stage during POWER GATE. ^^;; I have become a boring adult who's uncomfortable with being perceived lol.

MC1
Nana starts with exclaiming that she's finally here in Ibaraki!! Since yesterday was the first Ibaraki live, it marked the completion of Nana’s mission to conquer all 47 prefectures and tonight's marks the beginning of round two (this woman never rests does she xD)! Nana welcomes us to LIVE HOME!! It’s been around 12 years since Nana started her mission to conquer all the prefectures, and it’s been 20 years since she started touring! Nana has a funny story to tell us - Mishi-P has been there for every prefecture she’s toured in, attending her lives…. Except this weekend for the last one lol. Turns out he caught Covid this week and hence couldn’t make it. DDDD: He’s fine though, she reassures us!

04. Justice to Believe / 05. スパイラル
Now that I had such a good view and all, I found myself paying attention to a lot of details rather than the overall thing - like how we had nice bisexual lighting for the verses of Justice to Believe, which I had totally missed in Hyogo. xD Also thanks to our seat not having visibility of the deep middle part of the stage, I realized that the kind of distracting background videos were nicely blocked from view! Which meant I could really keep my focus on Nana herself 100%.

Cherry Boys -showcase
I realized tonight that maybe the reason why these feels shorter than usual is that actually the Cheribo song was really short and I'm pretty sure they used to be longer! Maybe minimizing the amount of time other folks apart from Nana are vocal is another pandemic measure. So again, Ryutan was asking everyone "this or that?" questions of which I've once again missed quite a few (these also flew past way fast). But the ones I did catch were Kado-D being asked "Nanoha or Symphogear?" and he replied that he loves Symphogear, Martin (I think it was him?) was asked "Nattō or NATO?" and he replied nattō of course and Kenny was asked "My Number or [something I did not catch]?" to which he replied "Kenny My Number 1!!" xD And in case you didn't know, My Number is basically a social security number system used in Japan!

06. HOLY TALE / 07. NAKED FEELS
The first half of HOLY TALE ended up being pretty much the only bit of the live that was kind of hard to see from where we were sitting, but that was okay. Once she did show up at the front part of the stage again I noticed that she was wearing bright red heels with this outfit, which made me wonder if the outfit was actually a homage to Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and her iconic "There's no place like home." line and tapping her heels 3 times to get back to Kansas. Would make a lot of sense with the HOME theme and all!

OH! NAKED FEELS!! Have I actually ever heard it live yet so far....? I don't think so! Man, the feels. This was one of the songs I listened to so much when I first got into Nana and it also was the song that my dad totally got hooked on randomly even though he doesn't understand a word of it. Man, this is definitely such an appropriate song right now considering the emotional rollercoaster we've been on for a few years.

Japanese English
ここから救い出して欲しいケド
踏み出す力が まだ足りないんだ
降り続いてる雨が上がったら

ボクのココロに虹がかかる?

時間のループ途切れて欲しい想いと
届けられない言葉が二つに重なる
From here on, I want to save you, but
I still lack the strength to step forward
When the continuous rain lets up
would a rainbow appear in my heart?

The feelings of wanting to break this time loop
and the words I haven't been able to convey overlap

MC2
Time for the silent Mawatte -calls! Luckily, the Cheribos are pretending to be our voice and doing the call for us in a kind of creepy way tbh. xD Nana decides to do the Mou ikkai with Champ since it’s his first day of LIVE HOME! Champ, however, didn’t realize he had to mawatte with Nana so he didn’t do it… lol which made Nana explain the whole thing and then we got even a third mawatte so Champ could do it right this time! Nana then asks him how it is playing for her and he says there are many intense hard songs and everyone claps really hard and she was like wait is that something to celebrate?! Nana tells us how Champ and Kojiro thought attending LIVE HOME after doing RUNNER as well would be a piece of cake since they know so many songs already but the only same songs that turned up were POWER GATE and ETERNAL BLAZE!! Nana says it's because Team Mizuki always tries to change things up so that the same songs won't show up two lives in a row.

Then it's time for the "Nana's firsts" corner! Yesterday was the first song Nana sang live to celebrate her finally coming to Ibaraki, and as a follow up of that today we will have…. Her first dance song!!! Which is....

08. Through the Night / 09. ダブルシャッフル / 10. MARIA&JOKER
Man, I was pretty happy that I got to be here for the "first dance song" since I always seem to like her dance songs a lot. And yep, you guessed it - I quite like Through the Night too! I was surprised how much I liked the actual dance too since I'm not that big of a fan of the very early choreographies usually. Nana asks us "how was that?" after the song is over and tells us that before doing this dance back then the most she had basically been doing was waving her arm around lol. Hope Nana will include all the "firsts" on the live Bluray since I'd definitely like to see this again. :3

And then it's time for what I've dubbed the casino corner! I realized that the choice of songs and the Persona 5'ish Team Yo-Da showcase were all a homage to the Persona 5 casino level. Double Shuffle definitely sounded way better in this venue than it had at Hyogo which made me super happy. It was such a treat to be watching her energetic dance from so close up tonight too! I honestly love it (even though I was still worried that she'd trip herself up or something). xD

I only realized tonight the Joker connection to Persona 5 of MARIA&JOKER too because I'm dumb. In any case, this segment all the way through to the following dance segment is probably my favorite in LIVE HOME!

Team Yo-Da -showcase
I realized also that I didn't really describe this Persona 5'esque movie that in detail in my first report so let me make amends now. Nana shows up in a Panther-like mask to steal a gem of some sort which is definitely a direct homage to her character's Panther codename and the treasure they have to steal from each palace. Nana even takes off the mask and her eyes flash yellow which is the eye color of your Shadow self. She walks toward the treasure and grabs it. They did a pretty cool trick in that when she reaches toward the camera to grab it, her arms actually reach out over the edge of the shot into the black bottom strip (if this makes any sense whatsoever ^^;;).

Not sure what this was exactly, just spotted some dinos on the way!

11. Reboot! / 12. GUILTY / 13. DNA -Dance 'n' Amuse-
Yesssssss, bring on the dance streak! As the Cadillac... I mean Nanallac rises to the stage on the other end of the stage, I can't help but wonder if this time it'll make it all the way over to our side unlike in Hyogo..... and it did! I kept wondering who the lady driving the car was, since she seemed pretty chill, if not a little awkward, jamming away in the car after Nana and Team Yo-Da got off mid stage.

And then... I kept my fingers crossed for GUILTY.... and there it was!!!! Honestly, best dance corner ever!  <3 If she still added Love Fight! to this it'd be way too divine. Ehum. Anyway! It was so awesome to see GUILTY from so close up since it's been one of my ultimate favorites for so long, even if the kinda weird dance outfit didn't do it as much justice as LIVE FLIGHT's smexy stewardess.

I have to say that I am now warming up to the DNA -Dance 'n' Amuse- dance as well, now that I could really view it so in detail. You have won me over once again, Nana.... damnit!

MC3
Once we get to the MC, the car returns to stage with the driver still intact and Nana introduces her as the director for her lives, Kanako Azuma! Yesterday it was Team Yo-Da's Yoko-sensei who was on driving duty apparently. Nana says Kanako-san is probably the person who gets to look at her face the most, since she also edits all the live material together. Nana asks her what’s one of the things she keeps an eye out for during her work and Kanako-san replies Nana’s abs that sometimes flash from under her shirt when she raises her arm. :'DDD And Nana’s like you need to be careful of what exactly when it comes to her exposed stomach....? and Kanako-san replies unfazed that she needs to make sure she is focusing on the abs at the moment of exposure ofc and Nana's like "eeeeh????" (I love this lady x'D). Nana then tells us that Kanako-san hadn’t wanted to drive the Nanallac and told Nana to make Mishi-P do it instead, but Nana wouldn’t have any of that since he'd just steal the show. Then Kanako-san drives off into the sunset once again and we go to....

14. Stand by you
Man, ballads really hit different when you can just focus on Nana like we could tonight (I'm sorry I keep going on about the seats but truly, they were amazing and it's super rare to have such luck ; ; ).

Family Sitcom -insert movie
Oh! So the seiyuu Nana does this dub with changes! Tonight it was not Misato, but Jun Fukuyama who does it with her instead (haha the Joker/Persona 5 homage continues, I love LIVE HOME xD). Haha, he was doing the dub for the mom and the dad and Nana was doing the rest! We even get a Joker joke in there lol sasuga. One of the two buff coworkers of the dad who came to attend the birthday party (both of whom were voiced by Nana) took on an imouto (little sister) persona this time. :'D Well, I have to admit that this is turning out to be more of a fun thing than I originally thought.... curious to see who pops up next!

Lots of Girls und Panzer promo thanks to Oarai Girls' Academy.

15. FIRE SCREAM / 16. WHAT YOU WANT
Still can't get over the logic of the sitcom being followed by FIRE SCREAM though... xDD But in any case, thus begins my other favorite segment of LIVE HOME! Oh! Was totally not expecting WHAT YOU WANT since that hadn't been in the rotation yet so far! We were blessed with Nana coming to visit us in our stage corner again during it and I have to say that I do appreciate her coming to tell me to "Keep on chasing what you want". At the end of the song some explosions go off at the edge of the stage which scared the shit out of me since it was pretty much right in our face.

MC4
Nana asks if we the explosion effects gave us a scare (how'd she know :x). She goes into explaining the family home comedy concept in detail. She wanted to do something similar to those shows that included a laugh track like Full House etc. Aaaand it’s dubbed since she is a seiyuu after all. Tonight it was her and Jun Fukuyama while Hyogo was Misato. She mentions how Fukuyama was doing the mom and dad and she the other characters tonight. Nana also then comments that the people who attended yesterday too might have noticed that yes the roles switched for tonight! Yesterday Nana did the mom and dad! She tells us to look forward to who shows up from now on. The recording is done for Saitama Super Arena already and the recording for the venue after is with ○○-san this week and she really wants to say who it is but can’t. Since she spent quite a while talking about the insert movie, she just quickly mentions how the next song encompasses her feelings from the past couple of years and then we go to...

17. MY ENTERTAINMENT / 18. 禁断のレジスタンス / 19. ETERNAL BLAZE
Man, I really can't get enough of MY ENTERTAINMENT. I was kind of in a trance listening to it and ended up kinda wondering if I was crying or if it was just sweat pouring down my face (think it was the latter since it was kinda hot inside the venue). I also got a rogue thought of how I wouldn't mind getting Covid doing something I love like I am now.. which was bleh, because I mean, I'd rather not get it and I -am- still taking all the precautions, even if I am allowing myself to enjoy the things that bring me joy like being here tonight. I just really missed this, is all.

Happy to have Kindan no Resistance stay in the rotation tonight! And this time ETERNAL BLAZE went without a hitch too! I tried to keep an ear out to if Nana seemed a bit fatigued or not, but she seemed to be okay. Partly it could be because the stage is quite small and she doesn't really need to do any running to get from one end to the other on time. Guess I'll still keep an ear out at Saitama. Either way, I really hope she's totally fine.

MC5
Then it's time for the last song… The Cheribos did "ehhh???" in our stead and Nana says three hours somehow go by so fast that she wants to do a 7 hour long live sometime... but she is sure that we’d still be all "ehhh?? Already??" even at the end of that. She then once again remarks that yappari live is better than online like she did at Hyogo. Nana says that she hopes that next time she comes to Ibaraki we will already be back to having lives the way we used to and can do all the calls again. She asks us to please sing with her… in our hearts that is!

20. 全力DREAMER
Not much to add here than that I still think this was a really good finisher. Could really feel the positive vibes she was sending our way here.

Encore!

21. レイジーシンドローム / 22. RODEO COWGIRL
Since this venue wasn't suitable for Nana to be going around in her little tree house cart, she just showed up back on stage to do Lazy Syndrome and RODEO COWGIRL, which was nice since that meant that we got a bit of Nana's Lazy Syndrome dancing and twirling around like what she did back in LIVE ADVENTURE - though this time she looked much more comfortable doing it. She just gets more and more refined every year doesn't she. :3

MC6
Nana thanks us for calling her back! And it's time for Shassuuuu!!  She's already been doing this call for 20 years and she says she wants to keep going till 70… oh that’s in 50 years lmao. She then goes on a tangent thinking if we'll all still be alive and doing this kind of thing then.

It's now time for LIVE HOME's namesake song.

23. HOME
After all the epic and genki songs, it was nice to see the gentle Nana singing this to us. It was pretty soothing to be honest... though it made me kind of wistful to think that our time on these amazing seats was coming to an end really soon.

And then, it's time for the actual last song. Nana laments again that the hours really just go by too fast.

24. No Limit
Touch and goooooo!  I was trying to do my best to imprint the memory of tonight in my heart during this song, but at the same time I know that's not how it goes and it'll slip through my fingers eventually.... sniff....

Also, sadly no double encore tonight since the celebration for conquering all prefectures was mainly yesterday. Still, happy we came!

After the song and the Cheribo & Team Yo-Da thank yous, Nana still ran around to say goodbye to everyone and when she came over to our end of the stage me and my husband did a heart with our hands together and she hearted us back twice - first with a small heart with her hands and then a big one with her whole arms! Thank you..... (T^T) though Ironically, I didn't see this very well due to the dude in front of me blocking my view at that moment, so my husband told me this happened. Sniff.

Driving through Tokyo homewards!

Afterwards when we were exiting the venue, there was staff once again handing out the streamers by the doors! Really nice that they are doing this now so that everyone can have a tangible memento from the lives. Hope it's a thing that's here to stay!

And that's another LIVE HOME adventure down, three more to go for me! Hoping I can keep dishing out the reports in a timely manner till the end.... :3 Excited for Saitama tomorrow!

Congrats on the super close seats!
I am happy that Nana started including songs that were not performed on the final day in the BD, because I absolutely cannot choose between seeing Dancing in the Velvet Moon and Guilty. Here is to hoping that trend continues.
And wow, Mishi-P T.T. Good to know that he is fine now!
    Have fun in Saitama!

    1. Yeah!! All the rotation songs are way too good to miss.. Really wanna see Through the night again too, so the BD better include everything again!

      Yeah... looks like Chou-san might have been the next victim, since I saw on Twitter that he couldn't attend the lives in Sendai this weekend due to a fever... ; ;
