Back with the first of two Saitama reports! I thought I could dish this one out even a bit faster thanks to taking a couple of days off for Obon, but somehow I have been just very sleepy all the time. Hard to say if it's because of work or my body not being used to running to concerts almost every weekend anymore. In any case, I've had to take some time to recharge as well.
Anyways, onwards to the report!

Goods
Well the only reason to even pop by close to the goods stall again was just to snap a pic of the Nana stand. You might have noticed that for each venue, they're adding the venue info on the planks on each side... hence why I try to still go take a pic every time.
Before the concert
Man, pretty decent seats again! Really don't know what I have done to be blessed with such good luck this tour, but honestly it makes me fear the repercussions of something like equivalent exchange... I really hope nothing horrible comes my way soon to balance things out. (T~T)

01. New Sensation / 02. SUPER GENERATION / 03. Go Live!
Before New Sensation began, Nana appeared on the middle stage and walked up to the main stage waving to everyone along the way like it was a homecoming indeed, which ties nicely to the intro movie (yes, wanting to write this reminded me finally that I had neglected to write about the intro so far ^^;;).
This time we got SUPER GENERATION in the rotation which was fun!

Nana exclaims she’s back home!! She then explains how being here in SSA again counts as being “home” - since it was the place where she could kickstart concerts again earlier this year, she also wanted to come here for the first tour after the pandemic stole the last few years from us. It’s been 1035 days since LIVE EXPRESS (though the day count might have been till the start of this tour and not today specifically). She explains that the "home" theme is also why she took a bunch of the pics for DELIGHTED REVIVER at SSA and says we probably spotted some of the locations on our way today.
04. Justice to Believe / 05. スパイラル
Now when Nana went from one end of the stage to the other during Justice to Believe I realized how truly lucky we were at Ibaraki - in Saitama Super Arena the stage didn't extend as close to the side stands as it did over there. Really happy we decided to go so last minute!
Cherry Boys -showcase
Another night, another instance of me forgetting most of these "this or that?" questions on the spot. From the ones I do remember, Kado-D was asked "Captain Marvel or NCIS Hawaii?" to which he answered with NCIS. Then the keyboardist (I swore I'd actually remember his name this time but I still forgot it...) was asked "hamburger steak or steak?" and he picked hamburger steak. Kojiro was asked "Kitajima (aka Kenny) or Itaru (aka Itaruvic)?" and he answered with Mishima (aka Mishi-P). Ryutan chimes in on his turn that he definitely prefers Captain Marvel.

06. HOLY TALE / 07. ダーリングプラスティック
It was nice being able to see all of HOLY TALE well again, since in Ibaraki it was the one song we didn't get to see too well from our seats. It kinda reminds me of Tears' Night in the sense that there's the epic instrumental bit in the latter half that has a different flavor to the song so far till then. Was hoping to get NAKED FEELS again, but it was time for Darling Plastic tonight. I guess that means tomorrow we'd get it......? Right?! During Darling Plastic, Nana makes her way to the middle stage.

Then it's Mawatte -time on the middle stage! Nana does the mou ikkai tonight with Kenny, because it recently was his birthday. Nana asks how old he is now and he says 64. Nana asks how it is playing at her live at 64 and he says “it’s fun” and she tells him to keep it up and he’s like “ok” . Then we get a Kenny number 1 ofc. She also bugs the keyboardist about his hamburger steak answer and gushes again about how he went to Todai and thus there is an elite among us.
Then it’s time for the special corner of "Nana's firsts"! We’ve had first anime OP, first solo live song, first song in front of people and first dance song. Now it’ll be first cover song!
08. おんなになあれ / 09. ダブルシャッフル / 10. MARIA&JOKER
Oh, I actually wasn't aware Onna ni Naare was a cover song! Always just thought it was quite a different flavor of song from Nana's other songs at the time.... guess that explains it. :3 It was really great to hear it live tonight!
After finishing the song, Nana tells us how this first cover ties to when she did a demo for NOëL, the game that started many things for her. She sang one of Miho Morikawa’s songs for the demo, which landed her the role and then for the POWER GATE single Mishi-P chose this song as a B-side to celebrate that fact. Nana declares that she has become an adult! She corrects herself and says she's become a woman, finally (since Onna ni Naare means "Let me become a woman")! Then she tells us that it is time for a change of pace…
And with that we go into my favorite casino segment of Double Shuffle and MARIA&JOKER. I honestly can't get enough of these songs! They go so well together and Nana is just so damn cool singing them.
Team Yo-Da -showcase
Oh I realize I still forgot to mention in previous reports that it starts with a calling card a la Persona 5 style! And that the dancer names are written very much in Persona 5 style too. At the very end, Nana leaves the calling card with an N on it after stealing the treasure. It was cool tonight too how the lights on stage matched and extended the lasers protecting the treasure in the movie. My husband commented that it'd be cool if the idea was that the dancers were Nana's Persona.

11. Reboot! / 12. Dancing in the velvet moon / 13. DNA -Dance 'n' Amuse-
No special driver today for Reboot!, think it was just a couple of members of Team Yo-Da "on the wheel" tonight. Since we could see the screen at the back of the stage well again tonight, I kept getting distracted by all the English that popped up on there during the song. xD Back to Rosario+Vampire vibes here with Dancing in the velvet moon!
Also by now, I have thoroughly started to enjoy the DNA -Dance 'n' Amuse- dance. Really love the instrumental bit where we get to clap for her and she's doing like a little flamenco show.

Nana explains how her outfit was Persona inspired and so was the car (yes her norimono this time appeared earlier than usual!) as it was as if her and the gang were on their way to steal hearts. Nana talks more about the car! It is also linked to the going home theme and American vibe. She mentions it’s called Nanallac and is a ***illac and then she notices a “Nanallac” label has appeared on the side of the car and she is like ??? Was it there in Ibaraki?? And she then tells us there’s some really cool details even on the dashboard even though no one else can see them. Team Mizuki ftw!
Nana asks if we are doing okay with all the intense songs and having to wear masks all the time. It's now time for the only ballad of the evening and she hopes that’ll give us enough of a rest to manage the epic intense stuff that comes after.

Not much to say here than it's a pleasure to be hearing it again.
Family Sitcom - insert movie
Tonight it’s with Tomokazu Sugita! He is doing the boy and the coworkers. There's a bunch of jokes related to Uramichi Onii-san this time, since I guess that's the latest anime they've done together. Sugita has so much to say that he is speaking even when the mouths of the actors ain't moving. xD

15. FIRE SCREAM / 16. UNLIMITED BEAT
Oh cool, back to the very first rotation I got in Kobe! I keep trying to spot if Nana goes wild enough during FIRE SCREAM to drop some of her accessories again but I don't think she did this time.
Also, tonight I was prepared for the explosion effects at the end UNLIMITED BEAT, but the lady beside me got quite the scare from them for sure. xD

Nana asks if the explosion surprised us. And then she’s like speaking of surprises… and proceeds to talk about the sitcom. She then mentions how Sugita and her go way back and how he’s been there for a lot of her stuff like the POP MASTER music clip and Zachou Kouen - he is the fukuzachou (vice chair) btw. She also talks about how in between the lives when she had a free weekend there was the Uramichi Onii-san event as well where both she and Sugita were and how it was just a bunch of dudes and her. She mentions how she was all posing for Mamo's selfie that he was taking for his blog, but turns out he just took a close up pic of himself. xD
Nana then talks about being a guest in Shinji Takeda’s live at Blue Note and then says oh he should be here tonight and we all look back to the 300 level where all the VIP guests sit and he’s there frantically waving his penlight. When they shine the lights on him he goes even crazier, basically moshing and even lifting up his shirt and stuff. xD
Nana then goes into saying that she is trying to make the most of being able to do stuff again and hence she is appearing in many things and she and Team MIZUKI have many things cooking even from now on too. She says the next song encompasses her feelings from the past two years and she hopes we’ll accept them.
17. MY ENTERTAINMENT / 18. 禁断のレジスタンス / 19. ETERNAL BLAZE
Time for the epic segment! Every time I hear MY ENTERTAINMENT live, it just gets me in the feels more and more. Nana's music really has gotten me through a lot and I dunno where I'd be without her.

It’s time for last song... Nana says her usual lives are nice thing and that the exchange of energy between her and us really means a lot to her and how she can feel the voices of our hearts even though we can't make a sound.
20. 全力DREAMER
Kinda been wondering now if Zenryoku DREAMER was supposed to be a towel song, if waving towels around was allowed. Guess we might find out eventually if things ever take a few more steps back to how they used to be.

21. レイジーシンドローム / 22. STAND UP!
Oh! STAND UP! hadn't been on the rotation at all yet during the tour! What a nice surprise!! We were hoping to get to do a heart gesture for her together with my husband when she passes with her tree house platform but she was looking towards the other way just then. :'<

Shassuuuuuu! Nana talks about smile-gang like always, but I don't think there was much new content this time. She then says she wrote the next song to express the her feelings of being here like this having a live.
23. HOME
And we are on the final stretch of the night yet again... time really goes too fast.
Then it's time for the actual last song. Nana apologizes that it’s all been intense songs that have lots of calls normally and thanks us for behaving regardless. She thanks us for being there despite everything and that there are a lot of people who couldn’t be here tonight too and that she hopes they will be able to come again soon. She says that she hopes that soon we can go back to no masks so she can see everyone’s wonderful smiles again and that we can cheer her on with our voices as well and that the next song she'll sing tonight will be the embodiment of those wishes… so that we can be once again with no limit.
24. No Limit
Still finding it bittersweet that No Limit is here to mark the end/limit of the concert itself. (T^T) At least we're coming tomorrow again!
When she is leaving she tells everyone to remember to go to the toilet and stay hydrated and take care of ourselves.
On a similar note, we decided to treat ourselves to a kind of fancy hotel close by instead of going all the way home between the concerts and man was it nice to just jump into onsen after the live (yes, we are getting old xD)! Also, sadly no handing out of streamers at the exits by staff this time.... a shame... guess SSA is too big of a venue for that.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if all the insert movies with the different seiyuu will included the BD, because I definitely want to hear all the different versions, especially Sugita's XD. That will not be a problem if SSA is on the BD, but I have some kind of feeling that the last Aichi performance will be the performance that is included instead.
