NANA MIZUKI LIVE HOME 2022 Road 06 at Saitama

Was kinda worried if I would be able to finish both Saitama reports before it was time for Nagoya.... and somehow I did! Go me! Though, I can't believe we are already nearing the end of LIVE HOME.... I do hope we get some news about the next live we can look forward to during this weekend's final and I hope even more that by that time Japan will have realized that letting people enter the country will be more beneficial to the economy than trying to force young folks to drink more alcohol... <.<;;

Anyway, let's get on with the report!

Before the concert
So the insanely amazing seats saga continues! We owe tonight's fabulous seats, which were not only close to the main stage but by the middle stage way as well, to my friend @Kaze who unfortunately couldn't be here to make use of these magical seats and as such this report will be dedicated to him!

*audible gasp* :o

01. New Sensation / 02. POWER GATE / 03. Go Live!
Got the usual opener set so not much to report on here. I have to say though that rather than paying that much attention to the songs themselves I was just mesmerized watching Nana, since it's really not often you get seats like this. I was kinda worried I wouldn't see much since the row right in front of us had a bunch of tall dudes, but luckily it wasn't too bad even with them there.

MC1
Tadaima! Nana declares she's home! She has returned to Saitama! She mentions again tonight that she wanted to include Saitama in the tour, since that’s where she restarted lives earlier this year with LIVE RUNNER. Nana also mentions that she started with typical encore songs to make us feel like we’ve come home too.

04. ROMANCERS’ NEO / 05. スパイラル
Oooohhhhhh.... that's a surprise!! Was not expecting ROMANCERS' NEO at all! My brain actually had a proper "Huh?" moment when the intro started for it. Think it was the very first time that Justice to Believe was rotated out during the tour so far? I am not a super fan of Justice to Believe personally, so this switch got me really excited, not gonna lie!

And Spiral also hit differently when we were right there, so watching Nana sing it kinda put me in a hyperfocus like trance. And that's where my woes for the evening began... since my resting bitch face game is strong.... ^^;; I snapped out of it, alarmed that if Nana or anyone happened to look my way they'd think I was having a bad time and tried my best to actively smile instead.... but it'd always slip away once I got really into a song. orz

Cherry Boys -showcase
I always tell myself I will try and catch more of these... but then I never do! Kado-D I remember every time since he's the first and this time his "this or that?" question was "Fate or Tsubasa?" to which he answered Tsubasa. Fire's is always food related I feel, though I can't remember what it specifically was. xD Kojiro was asked "Nishikawa or Takeda?" (as in which one has the better muscles, T.M.Revolution or Shinji Takeda lol) and he once again answers "Mishima" (aka Mishi-P). xD Then Ryotan kinda messed up the question to Kenny and Kenny takes the chance to not let him finish and instead just declares "Number 1!" already. Ryotan finishes off by saying that he of course prefers Fate.

06. HOLY TALE / 07. LOOKING ON THE MOON
Here I was expecting NAKED FEELS for tonight... then LOOKING ON THE MOON!! :o Looks like it had been in the rotation for the first Ibaraki night already so I shouldn't have been so surprised. During LOOKING ON THE MOON Nana made her way past us to the middle stage and we ended up watching her back for most of it.

MC2
Mawatte time! Nana is laughing that she is basically mawatte'ing already when she was turning around on the middle stage asking if we wanted a mawatte. Today’s mou ikkai is with Ryotan, because Nana could hear him giving his all on the Cheribo song. Ryotan says she should talk to Itaruvic too for some fun puns. Itaruvic says he always just makes the same pun in Saitama. Saitamaman? Idk, I didn't really catch it. D: Nana comments on how Kojiro has been replying "Mishi-P" these both nights. She wonders why he picked Mishi-P tonight though, since Nishikawa and Shinji are so buff and Mishi-P is quite the opposite. He’s been losing weight so she is worried. Then she mentions Shinji being here last night and that he lifted his shirt and was showing his abs to everyone and all that.

Then it's special corner time! Nana goes through all the previous songs in the corner so far again. Tonight it will be the first song Nana wrote herself! Tsubasa wo Hirogete

08. つばさをひろげて
Not sure if I had heard this before, probably not! Definitely feels very early Nana and the lyrics are quite simple to what she'd do these days. I managed to dig it up from Niconico in case anyone would like to have a listen to it as well:

This song is from before Nana joined King Records. She tells us she wrote it when she was 19. Nana says there’s some weird phrasing in there that she wouldn’t use anymore so you could say it’s a good way to see how far she has come since then. She then tells us that it's time to return to present day.

09. ダブルシャッフル / 10. MARIA&JOKER
Oh man, oh man, oh man. Super stoked to be seeing this combo so close up!! I really can't get enough of Nana prancing and twirling around for Double Shuffle. I think I have forgotten to mention it in my previous reports but I really love it when she does that intense high pitched "Auh!" during the instrumental bit. >//<;;

Team Yo-Da -showcase
Finally I think I've managed to describe pretty much everything about this in previous reports without missing any more bits, phew!

11. Reboot! / 12. GUILTY / 13. DNA -Dance 'n' Amuse-
Ahh another bit of heaven! It was nice to see the Nanallac this close up, it had kinda looked pretty real from far away but now it was obvious that it had indeed been handcrafted from zero. Huge kudos to Team Mizuki! Also, since I've been a huge fan of GUILTY ever since I first heard it in SUPERNAL LIBERTY and then when I had the chance to enjoy the dance for it at LIVE FLIGHT, it was really nice to finally get to enjoy it with such a great view after all these years. And of course, my soul just simply melted with DNA -Dance 'n' Amuse- because that song is just magical and I just wished I could see it again the moment it ended.

MC3
Nana talks about the Persona connection throughout a bunch of things. As I was thinking, one of them was indeed the casino vibe. The outfit she is currently wearing is inspired by her character and Joker was of course connected to MARIA&JOKER. And then the car was her and the gang on their way to steal some hearts. Then it’s time for Nana's usual car talk - today it shows up on stage with a big Nanette wearing a cowboy hat on the driver’s seat and Nana is like ???? was there a big Nanette like that ever as part of the goods or something?? She says how her team made the Nanallac from scratch, but paid so much attention to even the little details like adding the Nanallac logo after she gave it that name in Hyogo.

She also tells us about conquering all 47 prefectures finally! She goes into this story of having taken a shower at the venue in Ibaraki before the bus ride back, since it’s a sports venue and had some showers and all, and then after leaving she got a LINE from her stylist and she was like oh that’s rare and thought her stylist was going to congratulate her for the 47 prefectures, but instead her stylist was like “hey you forgot your underwear” and Nana tells everyone to always remember to take their underwear with them lol. Tmi maybe? xD

Next it’s time for the only ballad. Nana says her songs are mostly about giving everyone a strong push on the back, but since everyone has been through a lot these past couple of years she made this song more with the image of her gently holding our hand and going forward one step at a time.

14. Stand by you
So for some reason, the guys in front of us sat down for Stand by you, which meant we were fully visible and  I was feeling quite awkward and embarrassed, but then Nana randomly waved at us unprompted and we waved back, which was kinda nice actually. :3 It kind of added a layer to the song in that sense that it felt like she was truly singing it to us in particular (even though that's ofc not the case really, but still it's a nice comforting feeling to imagine!).

Family Sitcom - insert movie
Sugita and Nana again, but this time Sugita is the mom and dad + also one of the buff guys. The Nana son and Sugita mom talk about how they first “met” when doing Basilisk but didn’t actually have a chance to talk yet. They also of course make some Persona 5 jokes.

This time it ends with one of Nana's well-known Tsubasa lines「話はベッドで訊かせてもらう」
(=Hanashi wa beddo de kikasete morau) which literally means "I'll listen to what you wanna say in bed" but was used with the nuance of "I'll hear what you wanna say after I defeat you"... though with Tsubasa it could honestly mean either. xD

Outfit #4
Live shirts dress

15. FIRE SCREAM / 16. WHAT YOU WANT
Man, this outfit and FIRE SCREAM Nana is just too cool for words. Really wish we could do the calls for it...... sigh. Also, this outfit just really is so cool - I really love the concept and it was pretty mesmerizing watching Nana strut it all over.... and as such, I got so into watching Nana go back and forth on the stage for WHAT YOU WANT that I once again got scared by the explosions at the end lol. xD So what is it now, 2-1 on explosions vs. RJ? Can't remember what happened at Hyogo so not including that in the count....

MC4
Nana talks about the sitcom as usual. I kinda felt like she was looking at me when she started kinda like she was worried about what us overseas fans might think of it xD so I gave her a slight nod of approval. She praises Sugita’s work saying he inserted a little bit of many of his roles in there. She also explains that she picked Sugita for this weekend since he is from Saitama. Nana says to look forward to who appears for Sendai and then Nagoya and that hopefully all the versions will be included in the Bluray since they are honestly all quite different.

She says the usual about next song and how it encompasses all her feelings from the pandemic.

17. MY ENTERTAINMENT / 18. アパッショナート/ 19. ETERNAL BLAZE
Man.. like I mentioned in my first Saitama report, MY ENTERTAINMENT keeps getting to me more and more every time. Having Nana be right there in front of us for it was really making me feel it in the deepest chambers of my heart.

Oh and another surprise for tonight! Apassionato! Nana went to the middle stage for it, which meant that we were looking at her back for most of it. Luckily Cheribos were there along the way to the mid stage facing the sides to keep us company... though I did kinda keep having my eyes drawn to her shoes since the heels she always sports are insane!

When ETERNAL BLAZE started up, Nana whirled around and started heading back towards the main stage and I am pretty sure she glanced our way and kinda smiled too. Ahhhh~! :3 Also it's been a while being this close to the stage where you can actually feel the heat from the stage flames when they burst up.

MC5
And then, it's time for last song. Nana says that the time just feels like it goes so fast since she was waiting for this for so long. She really awaits the day when we don’t have to mask up anymore (though still take care of your vaxxes!) for lives and thanks us for being there even in the midst of all the uncertainties and she hopes the day will come when everyone who couldn’t be there tonight will be able to be here again for lives. She is literally zenryoku dreaming  (=dreaming with all she's got) for that day. And hence....

20. 全力DREAMER
I've kept saying every report pretty much how this was a good finisher for the live even if it wasn't one of my top favs from the new album, and honestly the more and more she explains about it each time the more I am feeling the feels she wants us to be associating with it. So I guess, it is winning me over more and more?

Encore!

Outfit #5
Green skirt and Nanette shirt

21. レイジーシンドローム / 22. RODEO COWGIRL
Since I love Lazy Syndrome so much, it was kind of a bummer not to be able to see Nana for it really, but at the same time it was pretty fun to focus on the Cheribos being weird on the mid stage way instead! I feel like I probably haven't gotten such a good look at them before now. RODEO COWGIRL proceeded pretty much in the same fashion of not being able to see Nana, but for it we got Team Yo-Da keeping us company on the mid stage way instead! Honestly, it was so nice to see everyone and not just her having clearly such a great time.

MC6
SHASSU! Nana says how because of the shassu-call she always has a chance to talk about smile gang here. They've already passed 1000 episodes? But didn’t get to do anything special to celebrate the occasion, so they are trying to think of something to do soon. Then next it’s time to aim for 2000 eps!

Nana mentions how she wrote the next song based on how being back on stage felt to her in January for LIVE RUNNER

23. HOME
Man... I got so into listening and watching her sing this that my brain went down this weird rabbit hole of how it's so nice how she sings  地球-そら-より熱く青い海 (=The sea of blue hotter than the earth's sky) and if you didn't know about penlight and all that, you might think she was actually just talking about the sea instead of the sea of blue penlights at her concerts. I mean, the whole song is so clearly about lives even if it's not very specifically mentioned and I quite like that.

And before I knew it, it was time for the actual last song. Nana mentions the usual about how its about her wishes for us to be able to get back to well, no limits.

24. No Limit
And once again, we have reached the limit of this limitlessly joyful time. (T^T) It really is just never enough.....

After all the thank yous, greetings and whatnot Nana tells everyone to change their masks to a clean one and wipe the sweat from our faces etc, essentially telling us to take care of ourselves in all the small ways we can.

And that's that for the fun and intense weekend - thanks Saitama! Till we meet again!
And the next stop will be..... Nagoya!
