[Live Viewing] NANA MUSIC LABORATORY 2019 ～ナナラボ～ -Day Show-

Sitting out the typhoon this weekend gave me some extra time to get to typing so here we gooooo. I was really torn with Nana Labo in the spring, since I had a ticket to actually go see it in Ehime, but I was really not feeling great in general at that time - quite apathetic in fact. I decided in the end to compromise by doing the live viewing instead while my ticket went to good use with one of my friends (who really loved it!). This ended up being such a special treat though that I wish I had gone all the way to Ehime.... (T^T)

1．Rock Ride Riot （With Ryotan）
Way to instantly make me regret deciding not to go to Ehime for this. D: I was really bummed about this being a towel song before, so I had been hoping to hear a non-towel version of this... and even as just live viewing it did not disappoint! The impact is so much greater when Nana can focus 100% on singing. >< not to mention how awesome this was being a special rendition just with Ryutan... hnngh.

2．Trickster （With Kenny）
Ooooh! I was not aware I wanted this, but I sure did!! This could maybe be one of the most perfect songs to pair with a guitar. Kenny was being too kakkoii. xD

3．Meikyuu Butterfly -diverse- （With Kado-D）
This is bringing me back to LIVE CASTLE times.... ahh, it feels like a lifetime ago. It works so well with a solo violin (but then again, for me everything does lol) due to its roots in Shugo Chara.

4．STAND UP! （With Itaruvich）
Oooh, so nice! Pairing this song up with a guitar wouldn't be my first thought, so it was really nice to get something like this that you can't really imagine otherwise.

welcome to Nana Labo! Nana tells us that since she is the image character for Ehime Bank they asked her to do the final performance in this hall before it is torn down. She doesn't really do lives in venues like this anymore so she wanted to do a concert that suits this kind of venue. She reckons that everyone was wondering what kind of concert Nana Labo was going to be. She did this kind of one with one pairing with the CheriBos for one song in LIVE ZIPANGU so she wanted to expand that to a full live. In other words, experiment with instruments and voices. Next song will be with the four CheriBo that have made an appearance so far.

5．Miracle☆Flight （With Ryotan, Kenny, Kado-D and Itaruvich）
This always brings back so many good LIVE FLIGHT memories, so it is especially nice to have a special rendition of it like this - in COUNTRY STYLE!! Ha, it fits so well. xD

A country style Miracle☆Flight! Nana asks us if we liked it. The idea and arrangement came from Itaruvich. Nana then goes to talk to all the CheriBo one by one starting with Ryutan. Ryutan says he was nervous and says that tonight only succeeded thanks to us. Nana goes on to mention how he was single-handedly handling the mixer while playing and what not and how much skill it takes to do all of that at the same time. Ryutan says he did mess up a lot in rehearsals. Next up is Kenny. Then Kado-D. She says she picked him and the song because in Shugo Chara her character's brother plays the violin. Last up Itaruvich. She picked the song with him, because he really loves baseball.

Nana tells us not to be surprised by the kind of experiments that come up from now on.

6．MARIA&JOKER （With Fire）
Holy sheeeeeeeet!!! Did not expect this one and oh man, a sax only feast to boot!! This was like such as god-tier level pair up omg. (T^T) The sax was really made for this!

7．Mr．Bunny! （With Martin）

And EVEN MR. BUNNY!??? This turned out to be a really interesting rendition... including even a rapping interlude with Martin. Honestly, it was actually pretty neat and suited her surprisingly well. xD

8．Lovely Fruit （With Cho-san）
Oh hohoho... percussion Lovely Fruit?! I always felt nothing could top the orchestral version of it, but this one was pretty interesting to listen to, too! Then, to make things even more fun, Nana joins in on the interlude with a mikan looking shaker. I was wondering why there was a rubber pig in Cho-san's arsenal, but he used it by smashing a rubber chicken on it to create the percussive sound he wanted. xD

9．Kiseki no Melodia （With Tom-kun）

Man, I haven't really been listening to this song much since it came out, so this was a nice opportunity to rediscover it. Hearing it with just Tom-kun's piano was really beautiful.

Nana bugs everyone again. She starts with Fire and he says he liked this one on one thing from before so he really wanted to do it again and was excited. Then Martin. Then Cho-san. She goes to pick up her mikan shaker and shows it off - she chose that one because of Ehime! Then Cho-san goes to pick up his, which is a lemon, and he is like "these are the LOVELY FRUIT". Then time for Tom-kun, though he didn't say much because he was nervous. All of them were very silly with their konnichiwas.

10．GUILTY （With Fire, Martin, Cho-san and Tom-kun）

Holy. Shit. JAZZ STYLE GUILTY!!! What is this sorcery?! I didn't think it was possible for me to love GUILTY even more than I already did 

Cherry Boys -intermission

Then it's time for an intermission with all CheriBo where they do their usual intros and show off their musical skills. Ryutan asks who was here for the previous live in 2003, LIVE SENSATION and reminisces about his experience in Dogo Onsen.

Nana says that ha you might think the experimenting is over since all the CheriBo have showed up. But it's not over, please welcome the next guest! It's Yabuki-san! He comes on stage and throws his little decorative flower into the audience. He hasn't been playing on stage with her since LIVE FORMULA apparently. He says his family is watching one of the live viewings and keeps going on about how he is okay and not nervous but just excited.

11．Shounen（Guest: Yabuki-san）

Can't believe it's been so long since we got some Yabuki-san goodness! Pairing this song up with a guitar was pretty interesting and I quite enjoyed it. Then...

... The moment the song is over, Yabuki-san is outta there. xD Nana is like "Eh, isn't that a way too speedy exit???"

Again Nana says that the experimenting is not over. So far it has been her voice paired with instruments, but how about having her voice paired with another voice? Enter Hayami Saori. Nana mentions how in Boruto Nana is Hayami-san's character's mom and Hayami-san is like "mamaaa". Nana says she LINE'd her asking if she was free on March 23rd and Hayami-san had thought that Nana sent the message to the wrong person and spent like 50 mins just reading and rereading it.

12．Heart-shaped chant （Guest: Hayami Saori）
I always tend to worry when another artist tries to take on some of Nana's more technically challenging songs, but man, Hayami-san did such a good job with Heart-shaped chant! It was pure pleasure listening to it from start to finish. Just two powerful voices and nothing more.

Afterwards, Nana calls all CheriBo back on stage. It's time to do a very different version of a song she usually sings in her lives.

13．POWER GATE（With all）
I thought this was going to be the usual PawaGe fare, but looks like she had an ace up her sleeve for this one too! There was a little bit of A cappella flare going on these.

Nana tells us that this arrangement of POWER GATE also happened thanks to Itaruvich. Apparently he had been wondering how it would be if you had people singing pa pa pa for the main melody and comments that he thinks about very weird things. Then she says that the next one is last song....

This was the first time I heard this.... because yeah, still not on the wagon with all the digital releases... ^^;; I quite like it though so I wonder if I should finally give in and do some purchases... but... but... aahhhhh doushiooo!

Shassu! Shassu guys, shassu girls! Shassu by age! Then home prefecture! Nana says thanks for calling her back! Now she has some announcements to make. She is the image character for another CM! Some home company. xD And then she will release a new single in July! The name for her next tour is also decided, it's LIVE EXPRESS! She wanted to express (heh, my pun xD) that she wants to bring the joy of the lives to everyone as quickly as possible with that name. Nana then says that she picked the next song because she wrote it with her home town in mind.

16．JEWEL（With all）
Oh, this was pretty unexpected! Though, considering how it was done with her hometown in mind it makes sense considering the lyrics of the song. Hearing this with the more intimate set up today was really wonderful.

Nana says the next song is really the last one. She picked this one because of its link to Ehime too. With this she wants to try something different from the usual because of a related line in the lyrics of the song. In other words, she wants everyone to shine their phone lights instead of penlights! So of course, everyone does.

17．Searchlight（With all）

Man, everyone at my theater also did their part with the phone flashlights and it was glorious. It was kind of exciting to see an alternative for the usual glow of the penlights and I really can't wait to be doing this at the venue in person.

Time for thank yous. Yabuki-san comes on the stage still shining his phone light lol. At the end Martin leads everyone out with his whistle like some army exercise. xD
