Rarely do you get to do your queuing in as lovely a place as this, with the grand view of Osaka castle. First thought that there was like no one there, but turns out the queue was just on the opposite side of the hall and they were keeping the close vicinity clear. xD Luckily it was a cloudy day so it wasn't too hot, so not too bad of a queuing experience and nothing sold out from what I wanted either. \o/ |

Inside Osaka-jo Hall
We had thought our seats would be pretty good for tonight, but it seems this place has a very peculiar way of labeling the seats. Our seats for tomorrow, which we thought were not so good, turned out actually to be better! So yeah, today it was the back corner of the stand for us. Still not a bad view though.
The concert
And so it begins! We see Indiana... I mean, adventurer Nana walking about in a forest. She sees something sparkling and goes up to it - it's a car key in a bottle. xD She can't get it out though. Oh well, she continues her journey and she finds a cave with a rock in front of it bearing the LIVE ADVENTURE compass. She goes inside and after some exploring finds... a jeep! Nana must of course get the jeep so she decides to throw the glass bottle on the ground to break it and get the key. Success! Then...

Outfit #1 - Badass Nana
Pink miniskirt and long coat. I was expecting the adventurer outfit but this ain't bad either. Will post the pics in subsequent concert reports. :3

I was curious to know what the starter song would be for LIVE ADVENTURE and No Limit was a fun surprise. Though I feel like LIVE FLIGHT spoiled me rotten, because now I am comparing openings to the impact VIRGIN CODE had and nothing comes close. orz

02. Justice to Believe
Suddenly, all that red. It's always nice seeing this kind of effect on other songs than EtaBure too.This is again one of those songs that I just simply love much more live (I know I feel that way about every song, but this just works so much better for me live than listening to from a CD), because of all the little things it includes - Nana's little twirls, the musical cues that happen then, and of course getting to shout "justice to believe" at the top of my lungs. \o/

So Nana removed the long coat and changed the top, so now she looks like either Jane or a cave woman lol. Not sure what I think about this. xD

Took a moment for my mind to catch up with the familiar tune and slap a name on it, but aha it was PRIDE OF GLORY! Somehow my mind felt like I wouldn't be hearing this song live anytime soon, but here it is. Though it is a little bit hard to take it seriously with the outfit Nana is wearing now.. what is it supposed to be exactly? xD

Oh, Inside of Mind! Instant deja vu of hearing both of these dance songs on the LIVE CASTLE weekend, man it's been so long and I've done so much since then. Somehow I seem to have missed my favorite part of the choreography, the one and half butt shake, making me wonder if she still does that part. I'll need to pay more attention if I get to hear this again during LIVE ADVENTURE. Meanwhile, I shall continue enjoying the Nana English.. :D

Konbanwa! Nana talks about the Jeep she rode in on and said she had to have one because of all the Indiana Jones'ppoi jokes. Then she calls out to the jeep, "Jeep come on!" so that we could see it again. The driver drives it back to the middle stage where it starts rotating and Nana comments that this has become more like a car show than a concert. She has decided that the name of the jeep is "Mizuki Jeep Seven", though she says the "seven" in a very Japanesey way, making it sound more like "shebun" and gets very embarrassed about it. Nana is really trying to ganbatte with English isn't she... (T^T) Then the driver of the jeep obviously wanted to get the fuck out of there and drove away in a hurry before Nana even finished MC'ing lol. Then Nana says Aniki will be joining from now on and asks him what he thinks of this kind of concert and he says he's enjoying it with a heart like a child's. Then it's time to give us an epic...

05. Kindan no Resistance
I had been looking forward to hearing this in a "normal" Nana concert, having only heard it at LIVE THEATER and before that in Singapore so I am happy it was indeed included in the set list now. And yeah, I'll keep coming up with new reasons why I am happy it is included even from now forth since I love the song so much. :D
06. Sabaku no Umi
Once again Nana takes me by complete surprise. Sabaku no Umi is hands down one of my top favorite oldie Nana songs and I never really thought I'd get to hear it live. I mean, she very rarely sings it. So it took my brain a moment to actually accept that yep, it was happening. And man, just like always, hearing the current Nana sing it was truly magical. I let myself be absorbed into the song for the whole duration of it, but still the experience was too short. If this song isn't going to be on the LIVE ADVENTURE bluray/DVD I will most certainly cry bitter tears.
Cherry Boys Showcase
Adventure seems to have brought Cheribo in to the great wild west to perform various heroic deeds, with such feats like Kenny showing off some gunmanship, Itaruvich throwing some shuriken, Fire punching holes through a rocky outcrop, Tom-kun trusting his bunny to lead him to treasure, Kado-D solving codes in some ancient structure, Ryoutan just trusting his luck and Abe-summer doing something, well, weird. Can't remember the rest very well, but you get the idea.
Outfit #2 - Cowgirl
Fluffy white miniskirt, cowboy hat and boots, jeans top. So cute!
07. Lazy Syndrome
I had been looking forward to hearing Lazy Syndrome, but I found it pretty difficult to concentrate on the song itself - Nana was way too mesmerizing herself. I think she really likes the skirt in this outfit because she was constantly shaking it around. Actually she probably likes her cowboy hat a lot too because she was shaking that around so much too. It was way too darn cute. I really hope she keeps doing this throughout all of LIVE ADVENTURE. If so, this song will become what Fun Fun People was to me last year in LIVE FLIGHT. :3
08. Bokura no Mirai
I figured this was bound to show up tonight since it's the only song left from SUPERNAL LIBERTY that Nana hasn't sung live yet. I really love listening to this song, and it sounds especially great live, but somehow it is missing something that would make it special for me. I don't know why.

Nana talks about the skirt/rest of the outfit and how it turned out looking like this because Team Mizuki was like "Otona kara.." xD Nana then tells how they came to Osaka already yesterday and for some reason which I missed at night she was told to drink just water. She wanted delicious food though so she sent the hungry Nanette Line sticker to the Cherry Boys Line group chat but no one replied. So now she totally tells them off on stage, was really funny to watch. She goes to bug Abe-summer and asks if he went out to eat last night while she was suffering and that he needs to think about what he did till the next MC.
Then Nana switches to talk about the rock with the L I V E A D V E N T U R E letters on it. Currently one of the Es is lit up. Nana explains that at every concert one letter is gonna be picked and she'll sing a song starting with that letter, kinda like what she's been doing with the big die last year and similar things before. There are only 13 letters though, so something special will happen at the 14th and final concert. What could it be?! So, in Ehime she picked the E and sang the Ehime image song "Egao wa kimi no tame ni aru". Tonight, she will go for T because of Hanshin Tigers! And the song will be.....

Then another bit of MC'ing. Seems like one of the highlights of LIVE ADVENTURE is some "stand up comedy". Abe-summer needs to make an Osaka pun as punishment for last night. Hard to understand Japanese puns... :'< Next up is Itaruvich. Then they make Nana do one herself. Her pun is so lame that she drops on her knees on the floor and does a literal "orz".

I remember reading somewhere earlier that this was part of the LIVE ADVENTURE set list, and while it's awesome to have Nana sing such old songs I can't say this one resonates with me much. Still, I do cherish the opportunity to hear it live, and admittedly, like every other song it is much better when you hear it in person. :3

Team Yo-Da Showcase
Here, we see Indiana Nana's adventures continue. She finds a treasure chest, and just when she is about to reach her hand out for it, Team Yo-Da comes to the rescue and tells Nana that no don't do that, it's dangerous! xD I only realized later, but this Team Yo-Da song sounds scarily alike to the [Ghost Busters Theme] lol. They later get the treasure for her and she continues on her way happy. On the stage, each Team Yo-Da member had some adventure related item (rope, flashlight, lolwhip, etc) and did their introduction dance piece with it.
Outfit #3 - Pink Checkers
Pink checkered tube dress with some frill. Reminded me of the 80's somehow.
12. Angel Blossom
Well, this song was a lot more fun live than I had hoped. Hearing Nana sing it without all those effects they've put on the recording of it was refreshing and so nice. I was wondering if people would actually do the dance like Nana had hoped in the tuorial video she posted. We decided to do it no matter what and I was happy to see that so many other people did too.
13. POP MASTER
In a way I wasn't expecting this tonight but I am glad it came as it is one of my bf's favorites and we went together this time. I hope she'll sing it in the Seibu Dome final as well, as my friend likes this song a lot too. :3 And of course, I always love hearing it myself and doing all that jumping.

Talk about the mine cart Nana rode down during Angel Blossom. It was so adventure'ppoi that the staff decided to make one. Nana comments that she's riding a lot of things tonight isn't she. She then talks about CMs. She says Nakau like in the CM song. So cute! xD Apparently the Nakau unagi dish she recommends is going to be sold out soon, whoa. Then she mentions the Ehime bank CM and how it's weird doing these CMs since she can't go all out like she does when singing. So, fittingly, the next song will be the CM song...

I think I'm on such a huge happy pill whenever I am in lives that songs that don't normally resonate with me much, seem so much better when Nana sings them in person. Ever since hearing Ashita graffiti for the first time, I've thought the verses have a pretty fun structure to them but the chorus kinda breaks it by being, well, a bit dull. But now tonight, I didn't care and just enjoyed the whole thing.

Adventurer Nana continues her adventures. She makes her way to a four-way intersection that starts crumbling away forcing her to go one way. She ends up in a room with many treasures in it. Suddenly, the doorway starts to close and she tries to get out, only to find a weird live skeleton grabbing her ankle. Nana grabs a huge diamond and throws it at the skeleton's head, beheading him. xD She then manages to still dive under the closing door before being trapped. She then proceeds to a throne room. There's a treasure chest waiting for her at the end of it. Another skeleton warrior attempts to sneak behind her but gets shot in the head by some arrow, that grazes Nana's cheek on the way. She then opens the chest with the key she got from Team Yo-Da during their intro video. There's some sheet music and a music box inside. She turns the handle so it plays and the whole place starts crumbling apart and thundering and....

Outfit #4 - Yellow Elegance
Kinda reminds me of the yellow dress she wore in LIVE GRACE -Opus II- in its colors, being a nice yellow and purple. But this was more in the design of a evening dress.

Ohoho! All that thunder and light on the stage setting, gave me goosebumps. Then the starting melody of Avalon no Oukan started and gave me more chills. So weird hearing a normal rendition of this after all the grandness of LIVE GRACE -Opus II- that fit it so well. Not that this was bad in anyway either, it fits the theme of adventure and was still quite epic. :D Very nice getting to hear it again.

Yeeeeesssss! I was so waiting for this. I've been like looping this for so many weeks now to decide how much I like it. It's quite different from Synchrogazer and Vitalization admittedly, but I am happy with the way it is. It's a more powerful song than what it seems like during the first few listens, and this became even more evident now when I heard Nana sing it live. The impact of that slow start and the music starting up. Man. And so many things to sing for Nana again too! Though not the easiest things to say fast w.

I was really hoping to hear this song again, as I am quite obsessed with it. I don't particularly like being in Finland again and this song makes me feel better. Plus since I've only heard an acoustic version of this live I did want to see what it would be like just normally. And yappari, I still love it.

I've been waiting to hear this live since it's such a beautiful song and finally that moment has come. There is some intense satisfaction in having have heard this and Albireo live now, like these two songs are ones that you absolutely have to tick off your Nana experience list before you can feel truly fulfilled.

Nana talks about her debut as a singer being 15 years ago and asks if she is still the same as she was when she was 21 years old and does some poses. She says she will follow Aniki's example. And now, this is her 7th time in Osaka-jo Hall. She talks a bit about LIVE FLIGHT and how she was supposed to fly but couldn't and how the fans here "helped" and her staff was like wow. Time for another song that hasn't been sung live before! I had been a bit sad at the end of LIVE FLIGHT to say goodbye to Dramatic Love for now, but Dream Rider provided us with another cutesy dance that does nicely make up for it. \o/ Would be nice to see it a bit closer.

Team Yo-Da! lol they barely had the change to run out to do it, guess they weren't expecting it. xD It's nearly time for 700th smile-gang! She talks about Misato and how she needs to ganbatte at 33 years old now and Nana makes a joke about having to ganbatte too lol. Next song will be a new one from her upcoming single as a present to us!
23. It's only brave
Wooo, new song I've never heard before! Reminded me of the time I heard Synchrogazer for the first time ever in LIVE CASTLE, ah, the sweet confusion - the structure of Nana songs are always so complex that it's hard to follow them when thrust in the midst of it like this during a live. At first I thought it was a cutesy song but then after a while I wasn't sure anymore and even still at the end I wasn't sure. I do think I like it though. Luckily I will get to hear it again tomorrow!

24. Happy Go-Round
I almost thought that there wasn't even going to be a towel song in LIVE ADVENTURE (which would have made me quite a sad panda), but then as the final song Nana busted out this, which is actually one of the most fun ones to me. Such happiness. It's gonna be great going to the Seibu Dome concert in September with my friends since the LIVE CIRCUS version of this is one of the songs we usually sing together in karaoke. :3 Before the last jump of the song, Nana rode down the mine cart again waving her towel, since it would have been a shame to just use it once.
And thus ended my first adventure, look forward to the next two, hopefully without as much delay. Though since we won't get a new live I guess until next summer.. I kinda have a lot of time..? xD
